Crystal Mata was born and raised in Houston, TX. She graduated from HSPVA and went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music. She has since returned to Houston to become a member of the local theatre community, a representative of a local music festival, the lead vocalist of a Mariachi and a private instructor. She has also been a contributing writer to examiner.com for the last year and a half.
We talk about depression, anxiety, confidence, bullying, ectodermal dysplasia, and how others who are fighting can be our greatest inspiration in an upbeat conversation on the state of mental health in America. Bullying isn’t easy, and it’s okay to to ask for help when trying to manage the repercussions.
