Amber is a wife, mother, HR professional and self-proclaimed Warcraft addict. She was born, raised, and resides in Central Indiana with her family. Her husband, Kris, was her high school sweetheart and the two will soon celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. She works as the Payroll & Benefits Manager for a local bank and enjoys spending her non-working hours seeking out new sour beers and attempting to cuddle her very hyper Australian Shepherd (who thinks cuddling means flopping around and licking everything in sight).
Amber was first diagnosed with anxiety shortly after the birth of her oldest child (Lily), though it’s been a part of her life for much longer. This was compounded by her father passing away unexpectedly just 2 weeks after her Lily’s birth. It’s been a roller coaster of ups and downs, most kept very private, since.
In this episode we discuss what it’s like to live with anxiety, how easily things can be misdiagnosed, the journey it can sometimes take to find healing, and how sometimes the best therapy can come from worlds not of our own.
